What We Had Once.
great by great,
I am drowning myself in desires.
Filling me with fantasies.
Some utopias, other potential future realities.
Others, only a vague and broad thought
that consumes me like
the mist consumes the vision of what is ahead,
as the smoke of a cigarette hides a bittersweet beauty.
My eyes do not face yours like before. With enchantment.
I did not want it, but little by little
I go on distancing myself from the one I love, and I do not know why.
I just want to go back to what we had once
without any routine, without weariness.
It is consuming me at all,
without asking permission, much less forgiveness.
Without letting me know explain,
Just making me shed tears from yesterday.
