What Lies Behind

can't you see what lies behind my smiles?

or even your intentions or actions 

both broken masked with resentment

too much attention from you

meanwhile each day I am farther away 

even after more than one talk-through 

the persistence is in eminence 

 

I can not see good intentions beneath your skin

and there is no blame on me

but your thoughtless words only

which pierced my soul back then

leaving deep under a trauma forever 

blind to reflection 

no inner mirror for recognition

do you still find your self in your complexion?

not even once you reflected about a dissection?

money can not buy my affection

and I can not give you your projection 

there is nothing you can do to undo

why you do not you see the truth?

the damage is done

that possible love is dead and gone
