If Only

if only they knew he had the intention

if only they knew what was going to happen

if only we knew where to escape to

if only she knew she was not hallucinating 

if only I knew back then that was not my fault

if only...

but signs does not fall from trees

life is mostly about the unexpected 

the good, the bad and the ugliest

the reality is harsher than we try to foresee

through the veil, there are much more than we think

we must know we does not know a thing

sometimes acceptance diminishes the ache

although to get there, it is a long road for many of us

healing comes with time

but time is not always on our side

hope is all we have of pure and true

even when all the voices in the head says otherwise

even when paranoia based on the hardest facts

comes 140 km/h with loosen breaks

all we want is to be free

from the chains and weights of a whole world

yet so, sometimes

this is another thing that is out of our hands

inside a crowd

lost and alone, the rest is a fassade

moving forward feels more like

being forced to continue swallowing

while in feelings overflowing

going straight down the drain

if only I had the power to overcome on my own

if only the world allow us to be really humane

if only the lights were not there to blind when leaving the dark

if only we could be heard and comprehended 

if only, but is the other way around
